Karen Bella

Karen Bella, Born and raised in New York, is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist., playing guitar, ukulele and piano. Professionally studying voice at 9 years old and writing original songs from 12, she was involved with theater, choir and played the drums in her school band throughout Elementary school and Middle School. She studied theater in High School with The On Tour Drama Program at Sandford H. Calhoun High School.

After graduating High school, she decided to postpone going to college and focused on her music career. She worked with multiple producers and musicians, recording many original songs, co-writing and performing throughout New York.

in 2007, Karen decided to attend Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY to continue her musical education. She began private guitar lessons, concentrated on music theory and completed two years of school.

After college, Karen released her first album titled “Ordinary Girl” and shortly after moved to Israel for family obligations.

It was there in Tel-Aviv where she began performing in front of audiences who granted immense support. The move allowed her to grow as an artist as well as a person. Improving on the Hebrew language, being close to family and meeting other musicians – like herself – in another part of the world. She was asked to audition for Israeli Idol and Israel’s The Voice.

After two years of living there, she moved back to New York to further achieve her musical goals and dreams.

Resuming her return to New York, Karen was invited for a VIP audition for NBC’s The Voice and began performing throughout NYC including places in The Village such as The Delancey, The Living Room, Piano’s and the famously known, The Bitter End. She was even asked to perform at The Harry Chapin Memorial Concert at Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater in Eisenhower Park. Currently, she resides in Long Island, NY performing throughout the state at festivals such as the Smithtown Blues festival, venues, restaurants and private parties.

She is in the midst of recording her EP.
